两亿七千万年前的汉字“中国共产党”
2003年下半年，贵州省平塘县掌布河峡谷中一块巨石裂缝两侧石壁上两行完全相同的“天书”被发现，有些专家怀疑是外星人所留神秘“天书”。这个消息当时被许多国内外媒体加以报道。
2003年的一天，为了开发旅游项目，身为村支书的王国富来到这个峡谷。他拨开茂密的树枝，突然看到了所谓的“天书”。顿时，他心中不由得一震：这不是汉字“中国共产党”吗？怎么是“天书”呢？紧接着，他左看右看，上看下看，一连看了好几遍，最后他断定：这就是繁、简体兼有的汉字“中国共产党”。
起初，人们都认为这些汉字是中国工农红军长征时书写的标语：这么排列有序、大小相当的汉字绝对不可能是自然形成的。但后来发现，当年红军长征并没有经过这里；而且，当年也不会有简体汉字。所以，这一观点被否定了。
2003年12月初，应贵州省平塘县政府邀请，中国科学院等单位的15名地质专家、人文学者专程赶赴贵州省平塘县调查此事。
经专家学者考证， 这些字体大小一致、方向一致、间隔一致、字形一致的汉字，实际上是二亿七千万年前的古生物化石，因为他们在文字图案上发现了两亿七千万年前的海绵、海百合茎、珊瑚、腕足类动物等古生物化石碎屑。因此，专家们把它称为“藏字石”或“救星石”。
专家们解释说，在二亿七千万年前，平塘地区本是大海底。随着喜马拉雅的造山运动，这里成了陆地和山脉。后来地层中的可溶蚀部分被溶蚀、淋滤或风化溶蚀掉了，而那些含有贝壳等古生物的碎屑岩则没有溶解，并且在两侧没有溶解的灰岩之间形成了凸起。由于山谷两侧经常会有石头落下并碎成几瓣，这些凸起也会随着石头的开裂而裂开。这样，人们就在裂石的表面发现了完全一样的凸起的图案。平塘的“藏字石”就是这样形成的，但形成如此奇妙的文字实在罕见，其存在概率约为百万亿分之一。
Chinese Characters Formed 270 Million Years Ago
In the second half of 2003, two lines of identical Chinese characters “中国共产党”(the Chinese Communist Party or CPC) and so on were found on both walls of a huge crack in the Zhangbuhe River Canyon in Pingtang County of Guizhou Province, China. Many Chinese and foreign media reported this news at that time and some experts thought that these mysterious Chinese characters are the hieroglyphics written by god from heaven.
One day in 2003, Wang Guofu, secretary of a village branch of CPC, came to the canyon in order to find scenic spots for the development of tourist industry. Pushing the dense tree branches aside, he saw the so-called hieroglyphics. His spirits were buoyed up at once: Aren’t they the Chinese characters “中国共产党”? Why were they thought to be the hieroglyphics? Then, he starts to watch them carefully up and down, left and right. He looked continuously at them many times. Finally, he concluded that the writings are just the Chinese characters“中国共产党” in combination of the complex and simplified forms.
At the beginning, people believed that these characters were the slogans written by the Chinese Red Armymen during the Long March years: They can’t be formed naturally because they are arranged in the order of the meaning of each word, well matched in size and written with firm strokes. But, they found later that the Red Army did not pass here and there were no simplified Chinese characters at that time. For this reason, this point of view was negated.
In early December 2003, 15 famous geological experts and humanistic scholars from the Chinese Academy of Science and other units made a special trip to Pingtang County to investigate the matter at the invitation of Pingtang County People’s Government.
After doing textual research, the experts declared that these Chinese characters identical in size, direction, space and form were actually the fossils of pale-organisms including sponges, stems of sea lily, corals, brachiopods and so on 270 million years ago because they have found the fossils bits of these pale-organisms on the characters. For this reason, the experts call it “stone of hiding characters” or “stone of great liberator”.
The experts explained that the area of Pingtang County was originally the bottom of sea 270 million years ago. With the Himalayas orogeny, the place became dry land and mountain range. The dissoluble part in stratum has been dissolved, strained or weathered away. But those clastic rocks containing the pale-organisms such as shell were not dissolved and left on the walls of the limestone. Because the mountain rocks dropped often into the valley and broke into several pieces, the patterns would be seen with the stone cracked open. Then people found the fully identical pattern of swell on the surface of two sides of split stones. Pingtang County’s the huge stone hiding the Chinese characters were so formed. But the marvelous stone hiding the Chinese characters is very very rare. The probability of forming such a stone is about one hundred trillionth.
